About me
Meet Florie.
I'm a St. Louis based singer songwriter, multidisciplinary artist and creative entrepreneur. Art is my language for amplifying the stories of the diaspora. I've been performing since I was a child, and I still believe art is how we find out who we are becoming.
Where it started
I began my career in N-Jection, a trio with my siblings, signed to Storm Records in 2007. We released our debut album, Never 2 Late, and performed across Nigeria and the United States, opening for some of the biggest global Afrobeats stars.
Finding my own sound
As a solo artist I make Afrobeats and Afro fusion with atmospheric, experimental, R&B and pop influences. I write and produce my own music, and I'm building toward my next release now.
Telling stories for a living
My background is in psychology and digital marketing. I lead marketing and creative work professionally, and I bring that same strategy to my own content and to every brand I partner with. I shoot and edit my own work with a cinematic eye.
Building for others
I founded Floriescence, a creative media company and incubator, and Artists for Artists STL, a community where artists across disciplines grow together. I also co-founded Echoes of Africa STL, a celebration of African cultures and diasporic identity.
